   Richness of ethnic is one of "beautiful" that Indonesia owns. Unique and complex diversity covers diversity of ethnic groups, religions, languages, social groups, and different cultures.

   Indonesia has more than 300 ethnic groups which spread from Sabang to Marauke. The population is 228,437,870.  There are five religions in Indonesia, Islam, which is the majority religion in Indonesia, Catholic, Christianity, Buddha, and Hindus. 

   Languages that we speak are Indonesian, English, Dutch, and local dialects. Indonesia also has five different social groups which are Acehnese, Bataks, Minagkabaus, Javanese, Sundanese, Balinese, Sasaks, and Dani.

Culture of Indonesia

   Modernization doesn't mean traditional cultures become something worn-out. Art and this way of life have been Indonesia's richness which touch with modern age.

   Every aspect of cultures seems interesting to be known, like how people cook, how they dress, how they perform art, and religious activity.

    One example of Indonesian cultures is the picture that is shown besides. We call it Wayang; Wayang is a puppet made from leather. It's a form of theatrical performance art in Javanese society life. The plays performed philosophy of Javanese culture.

    There are more than 200 kinds of dancing parallel with diversity of ethnic groups and languages. Dancing which symbolized with expressive moves is the way to show ritual and religious aspects.
